Director Roy Dames documents the life of Frank Masmeijer in the year following his release from prison. Dames aims to understand the circumstances that led the former TV host to make the unfortunate choices that resulted in his conviction for cocaine smuggling.
The trajectory of Frank's case takes an unexpected twist when, much to his and everyone else's surprise, he is pardoned by the king, despite the public prosecutor's opposing advice.
