USE-IT Milan | Free map for young travellers

USE-IT is a tourist map created by young locals for young people.

Itʼs made by locals who welcome their peers from all over the world in their city, sharing useful infos and advices, giving tricks for urban survival.

The map was born with some experiments in northern Europe (Copenhagen 1971, Oslo 1989, Rotterdam
1997), but is with the Belgian activity in 2002-2007 that the USE-IT Europe Network was created and since
then, itʼs been expanding in many european cities.

Itʼs free and doesnʼt host advertising.
Itʼs updated and verified every year.
Itʼs a serious thing, but really funny.
We created the first USE-IT map for Milan in 2014, working as a creative engine on everything concerning the network premembership, the management and the consolidation of the work team and the network of local synergies.

We also created the contents studied the graphic coherent with the Milan identity and the USE-IT format.

It was a 360° field research, trying to recollect what we already knew about our city, and find out much more.

Ah, obviously we are all people born, grown and still employed in Milan.
Being creative, excellent project manager, or urban survival guru, wasn't enough: USE-IT demands strong partnership and a minimal funding in order to ensure the publication and distribution of the maps.

Yes, we would like to point out that we also had to manage relationships with public offices.
Consider it if you're here investigating our ability to create and substain working networks and synergies.
The output of months of voluntary works, was a great map printed in tens of thousands copies and distributed in hostels, info point, iESN Annual Meeting and EXPO Gate.

We also got many enthusiastic review on Wired Italia, FrizziFrizzi, Cosebelle Magazine, some others.
