Instagram Carousel
I have been following the original artist of Several Other Ghosts, for a few years. His band recently decided to step away from making music together. So, for a fun project, I created a post that would allign with the overall feel of their band, to honor their music journey.
Assets
Before they took a break, I was only able to attend one of their concerts, in 2019. Since then, I found a local film photographer, who also has been following their career. I reached out to her through Instagram, and she sent me a few photos from one of their concerts, a few years back. I couldn't have made this carousel, without the help of her beautiful photographs.
Design Process
I took inspiration from their album covers and past posts. However, their past posts had been archived, and there was now only 1 post. So, I had to get a bit creative and work with what I could find. I was able to find a quote from the lead singer from a few years back, about the band and how important it was to them. With the help of the photos as well, I chose a serif font that was similar to the most recent album cover. Lastly, I chose a handwritten font, to give off the song writer affect.
Layout
For the layout, I decided to focus on a scarpbook layout. Having overlapping photos, utilizing the handwritten font, and headshots of the band members. Also, I wanted to make sure to include every song they have produced, so I checked their Spotify page, and double checked my spelling and the order of the songs.
