Un tavolo totemico progettato con l’intento di valorizzare l’elemento materico del legno, nobilitandolo al punto da poterlo paragonare ad un pregiato minerale.Uno progetto emozionale e poetico, che mette in risalto il reale valore di questo nobile materiale, qual’è il Legno.
PEPITA vuole estremizzare il concetto di valore (economico, materico, emotivo, strutturale...) del legno, elevandolo a materia straordinaria, nonchè unica ed inimitabile. Una teca in vetro funge come colonna
portante per il piano in massello, assolvendo alla duplice funzione di elemento sia strutturale e portante del tavolo sia di scrigno, per il gioiello che cela al suo interno.
Una “pepita ” in legno non lavorato, al naturale, come fosse appena estratta dalla natura e dall’ambiente che la circonda. Quattro tiranti in acciaio, con la sola funzione strutturale di sorreggere il solido in legno,
permettono di far fluttuare l’elemento tridimensionale, come fosse una particella contenente una grandissima energia, legata, trafitta e domata, in questa scatola di limpido vetro. Una superfice in legno massello dalla forma irregolare è poi il piano del tavolo, realizzato nello stesso legno della “pepita”, che quì viene messo a contatto con l’utente che fino a questo momento soddisfava soltanto il ruolo di spettatore. Ora lo “spettatore” può davvero toccare con mano il legno, poichè la materia, che è stata per così dire domata dal produttore, non è più così misteriosa e ignota come la gemma contenuta nella vetrina. Pepita è un tavolo emozionale, che vuole raccontare una storia, il legno come materiale
sconosciuto, ancora da scoprire, che nasconde al suo interno un’infinita serie di potenzialità e di risorse, aumentandone non tanto il valore economico, del legno stesso, quanto quello metaforico e allegorico.

A table totemic designed with the aim of enhancing the material element of wood, ennobling to the point that it can be likened to a precious mineral.
An emotional and poetic project, which highlights the real value of this noble material, what is the Wood.
PEPITA want to exaggerate the concept of value (economic, material, emotional, structural ...) of wood, raising it to extraordinary material, as well as unique and inimitable. A glass case serves as a column
carrier for the plan in solid, fulfilling the dual function of both a structural and load-bearing element of the table is of casket, for the jewel that hides the internal.
A "chip" in untreated wood, natural, as if it were straight out of nature and the environment that surrounds it. Four steel rods, with the only structural function of supporting the solid wood, allow to float the three-dimensional element, like a particle containing a great energy, linked, pierced and tamed, in this box of clear glass. A surface made of solid wood with an irregular shape then the table top, made of the same wood as the "nugget" which here is brought into contact with the user so far soddisfava only the role of spectator. Now the "spectator" can really touch the wood as the raw material, which was as it were tamed by the manufacturer is no longer so mysterious and unknown as the gem contained in the window. Pepita is a table emotional, that tells a story, wood as a material unknown, yet to be discovered, which conceals an infinite number of possibilities and resources not so much by increasing the economic value of the wood itself, as the metaphorical and allegorical.
