What PRIDE Looks Like?

June marks the start of Pride month, which means Clearly gears up for exciting, informative, and amazing events surrounding the LGBTQ2SAI+ community – all around the world, all summer long.

Clearly explores Pride through a few different lenses: they look back at the history of Pride, get a glimpse of what contemporary creators are doing to celebrate Pride today, and set their sights on what you can do to support the LGBTQ2SAI+ community during Pride and beyond.

Now, Clearly is a big shot in the online eyewear game in Canada. They're all about their mission to eliminate poor vision, plain and simple. They want everyone to see the world crystal clear, without any pesky vision problems holding them back and they're doing their part by offering a wide range of eyewear options, helping people find the perfect fit for their eyes.

While Clearly strive to showcase diversity and equality all year round, they see Pride as an important opportunity for them to check in and reflect on ways they can increase their support to LGBTQ2SAI+ communities. In past years, they’ve been lucky enough to take part in local events, including the Toronto Pride parade.

In this campaign, my role was to create super cool and attention-grabbing visuals that really catch your eye. We had this amazing photoshoot with models who are part of the LGBTQ community, and they brought their A-game! The end result turned out incredible! These photos were a perfect match for my designs. I used different font styles to show inclusivity around words that have important meanings and real impact for this cause. And I surrounded everything with vibrant, lively graphics in all shapes and sizes. The final outcome is pure magic, really! The models' vibes combined with those colourful elements created a seriously awesome and satisfying happy ending.

We were all bursting with pride for what we achieved.
