This video titled Oh Freedom! is a close video documentation of historic Savannah's symbols from the years of black slavery. It is an intimate portrayal of the African Story Statue on River Street, accompanied by close lingering visuals of the Laurel Grove Cemetery South where Savannah's slaves and groundbreaking blacks were buried. The images in the cemetery reflect on evidence of cruelty embedded into the barks of trees, memorializes some of our first black military men, as well as represents the emancipation story with the graves of the founding pastors of the 2nd African Baptist Church.

The song featured is one of many beautiful Negro Spirituals sung decades ago and passed on from generation to generation.
