Wordpress Self-Hosted Website | Graphic Design II
Project Statement
Crossroads is a fictional upcycled fashion company that takes donations to be made into new pieces of clothing, boasting the idea that “a single piece of clothing can live a thousand lives.” Hosted on a local server, the WordPress site uses the Divi Template. Before creating this site, the developer researched content and created a mood board, style tile, and site map.

Because Crossroads is an upcycled fashion brand, the website’s logo uses a patchwork design with a needle and thread to illustrate this concept. The logo’s colors of pink, purple, and light blue-gray, all of which create the color scheme for the website. The website uses the typeface Varela Round because of its simplicity and easy readability.

A full-scale image with text-overlay greets the customer on every page of the site, conveying the subject of the page. As the customer scrolls down, they see purple call-outs with important, headline-worthy information. These sections may also include body copy relevant to the headline. Information may also occupy a light blue-gray section, which alternates with the purple call-outs.
The site focuses on emphasis, hierarchy, and proximity as its main design principles to create  an attractive website that is easy for users to navigate.
