Water is a Human Right
Public Service Announcement (60 seconds) for manitobachiefs.com
Doyou have running water? I don’t, and I live in Canada. I need your help.

AtGarden Hill, Manitoba, I haul buckets of water from our lake for drinking, cooking for my baby andfor my grandmother’s bath.

ManitobaHAS abundant water But the Indigenous people of the Island Lake have less clean drinking waterand sanitation than people living in refugee camps in Africa.

At Red Sucker Lake we don’t have indoor plumbing. SoI haul water to flush the outhouses and latrine buckets.

With no indoor plumbing, sewage is a severe healthhazard. Contaminated water spreads disease. The children and elders get sickfirst.

Whatcan you do?  The UN and 63% ofManitobans say CLEAN WATER IS A UNIVERSAL HUMAN RIGHT.
