The book's narrative surrounds the life of my grandfather, an individual with an unfortunate upbringing leaving him orphaned at 14 years old and fighting for his life on many occasions afterward. His story is told by my grandmother, who provides detailed stories of my grandfather’s life, from early childhood till adulthood. Although the main narrative is centered around my grandfather and his life aspects an additional character is introduced and makes a frequent appearance throughout the book, my grandmother.
