Brief - Create a small story of our own choice for children and represent it in 5 frames initially. Then using the context of a story create substitutions for it in Syntactic, Semantic & Pragmatic forms to understand semiotics in a design problem.
Duration - 4 days
The story I created was about finding a home and how the story takes a turn in just 5 frames. The target audience could be children more than 10 yrs of age since the topic is a bit spiritual kind of(maybe) but for them to understand. I created some illustrations to depict the scenarios using Illustrator in my own style.
Below are the 3 different forms of representations of the same story -
The actual storyboard frames with digital illustrations
The visual board with the same visual elements but different objects to represent it - Syntactic Substitution
The visual board with different visual elements but depicts the same emotions -
Pragmatic Substitution
An additional output - Storybook
Thanks for watching ;)
