Bjork is an Icelandic singer-songwriter who has received worldwide recognition for her genre-bending explorations in music and production. This concert poster series explores the breadth of Bjork's music and style through 3 distinct approaches.
Concert Poster 1: Found Typography and Collage
The first poster of the series was created by photographing and collaging found typography to create a new composition. This composition was scanned back in to the computer where it was digitally manipulated and colored. In the last phase, the digital grid and computer type were integrated with the original composition to create a synthesis of digital and analog techniques.

Concert Poster 2: Three-Dimensional Typography in Space
Poster 2 was created by constructing a three-dimensional composition from plants, flowers, and moss.

This composition was photographed and digitally manipulated to alter colors and overall contrast. Digital typography was then added to provide secondary concert information and create a final printed piece.

Poster 3 utilized purely digital typography to highlight the power of type in communication. Starting with

a standard font, type was stretched, extended, and altered to create unique spatial relationships. These relationships were accentuated by the addition of vibrating lines to create a landscape of color and gradation.
