The idea first started when I was in-between mural work the Summer of 2010.  I was playing around with splatter paint techniques and decided to order a dozen neon trucker caps to try them out on.  These are the prototypes.
These were the next lines of hats from the "UMPH" and "Get Wappy" series. The idea expanded when I decided that best way to keep the hats from looking grotesquely home-made was to have them screen-printed with designs.  Other than that, everything else I could do in my backyard (Pictured above).

I quickly developed a system where I could paint each hat in under two minutes, with little mess and a 
lot more control...

There was never a fourth line. After the production and sale of nearly 200 hats, I decided to walk away and pursue other interests.  It was a valuable experience in both production and point-of-sale interaction.
RageCaps were sold in eight different colors, with four different screenprinted phrases, and using two different colors of ink.
These were the stickers I put inside the brim of every hat I sold. Didn't think this was something I wanted to keep doing but, just in case, I had to start (almost literally) branding the product each time I sold it.  

The hats sold for $10-$15 a piece and produced RageCaps healthy profit.  It will always be my favorite "just-for-fun" project to date.
