A New Perspective on Abandoned Spaces

This exhibition is an embodiment of my thesis project, where I sought to explore the concept of abandonment and its potential for transformation. Inspired by this vision, Skipped aims to offer a fresh perspective on neglected spaces and ignite a dialogue on their untapped possibilities.
To immerse visitors in the world of abandoned spaces, the exhibit design incorporated sensory boxes. These interactive installations allowed users to touch the materials and experience the scents, creating a truly immersive and engaging experience.
Seventeen young creatives came together to contribute their unique vision to Skipped. Through their 14 hypothetical reuse projects, they aimed to transmit a new viewpoint to the next generation of creative minds, challenging the traditional narrative surrounding abandoned places.
The exhibition space was divided into two dedicated areas: one showcasing analog content and the other featuring multimedia presentations. This arrangement allowed visitors to explore the diverse perspectives and interpretations of the participating artists, enriching their experience within the exhibition.
Skipped not only aimed to showcase the creative potential within abandoned spaces but also to inspire a shift in perception. By presenting these spaces through the lens of artistic reinvention, we sought to foster a sense of hope and possibility among visitors.

To make it even better, a dedicated area was created where visitors could freely express themselves and express their creativity.
Thank you for being a part of Skipped and for embracing our mission to redefine the narrative surrounding abandonment. We invite you in the future to immerse yourself in this world and explore the transformative power of creativity within forgotten realms.
