The design project was to create postage stamps that touch on the subject matter of hunger in America. It also is supposed to advocate for an end to hunger and open viewers eyes to what is happening. 

Before delving into the digital design, I drew three different design ideas that I could do. The first theme is titled Hunger in America. This theme manipulates art, icons, and subject matters that are apart of American culture to depict hunger. The second theme is Hunger in their Eyes. This theme shows hunger from the perspective of a hungry person. For example, one drawing is the view of empty cabinets and another is a empty plate. The third theme is Hunger Typography. This theme focuses on manipulating type to create a bold message. I went with Hunger in America for my designs. 

When beginning my digital illustrations, I started with black and white outlines and drawing in Adobe Illustrator. Doing this helped me plan my colors and type.
