Serving as the Creative Lead for the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Finals 2022 in Malmö, I was at the helm of executing one of the most anticipated esports events of the year.
My role encompassed various critical aspects, from stage design and technical setup to managing live broadcasts. Collaborating with a diverse team of designers, engineers, and production staff, I ensured a flawless fusion of engaging aesthetics and cutting-edge technology.
I oversaw the production of the grandiose stage, incorporating dynamic lighting, intricate digital elements, and immersive sound design. The stage not only facilitated seamless gaming for the players but also provided an unforgettable visual experience for the spectators.
For the live broadcast, I coordinated with the technical team to ensure uninterrupted streaming, handling any potential issues swiftly to maintain the high production quality Riot Games is known for. This involved managing broadcast hardware and software, implementing advanced AR elements for an enhanced viewer experience, and orchestrating engaging pre and post-match coverage.
My role also involved liaising with various stakeholders, including players, sponsors, and the Riot Games team, ensuring all needs were met for a successful event.
Through my leadership, the LEC Finals Malmö 2022 was a resounding success, offering an electrifying experience for both the in-person audience and millions of viewers worldwide. The event not only crowned the European champions but also raised the bar for future esports events.
