The Super Summer Challenge is an annual program at The City Library — a solution to "summer slide" and boredom for kids, teens, and adults. For the 2019 challenge, the theme was loosely tied to space exploration and titled "A Universe of Stories". We created three visually distinct but interconnected sets of branding delineated by age group. For kids (and toddlers), the direction was playful, bright, and simple, using whimsical imagery and softened elements.

Teen materials were more abstract-leaning, using sharp geometric angles and playing with transparency and color overlays to give everything a subtly retro vibe.

Finally, the materials for adults took on a minimal and elegant approach: it utilized a limited color palette and illustration style that was both refined and technical-feeling.

The format of each tracker was the same for each group, with patrons 'filling in' constellations to track their progress as they completed the steps of the challenge. The trackers also highlighted activities that were shared across all trackers, encouraging families to participate in the challenge together.
