The letters are made from cotton taken from a rag cloth. The process began with tearing the cloth in such a way so that I could get a twistable straight lined piece which could end up giving the shape to the letter. The word MESS was supposed to look as messy as possible, hence random curves twisted and tangled helped me achieve it. The phrase ‘your mess is mine’ is from a song mess is mine by Vance joy. The final poster shows a paint spilled canvas showing the emotions of having a mess not only physically but mentally, hence the phrase says it all.
