I've always been inspired by classical paintings. Some months ago I was somewhat distressed because I felt I was loosing my voice as photographer/videographer. I felt I was taking the same pictures over and over again, not putting enough brain and soul into them. The truth, I was bored and I felt my work had become uninteresting. So, I decided I should go back to the masters from inspiration, return to the basics and try to mimic the light in their paintings, in order to understand how does it affect the subject. For the first session I choose Girl with a Pearl Earing by Vermeer (who doesn't?) and Portrait of a Young Woman by Petrus Christus.
