What-if Series: Manufacturers not seen in the Gran Turismo World Finals

Next Manufacturer: Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi, unlike two-time Champion Subaru, has not been as consistent with appearances within the Manufacturers Cup. The basis, the Lancer Evo X, was the starting point for this 550+ HP high power, high downforce monster. That power and down force does come with a drive ability cost, however. With a car mostly dependent on so much downforce over 100 mph, any speed below that makes the car very skittish. On throttle, it is very tricky to get a  good grip out of a corner w/o spinning the wheels. Top speed suffers as ell, with the top speed barely touching 170 mph, whereas others can bypass that easily without much trouble. Downforce can not be easily has w/o drag, after all.
The last appearance with the Mitsubishi team was the Manufacturer Cup Showdown in 2022, where they finished 10th place, over 30 seconds from the eventual winner Subaru. If there was a more beneficial BOP could aid the Japanese team to fight their main rivals, but with a hard a car as it is to drive, never the less for long  distances and complex weather, it'll be a team that really had what it takes to defeat it's competition.
