In 2023 Turkish Airlines is celebrating its 90th years. For this purpose, we decided to take viewers on a journey through time from the past to the present in its new commercial. The film, in which we see the first plane that took off in 1933 and landed in İstanbul in 2023, focuses on Turkish Airlines’ 90 years of success.

"A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME"

The commercial opens with Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk signing the founding document of Turkish Airlines, an airplane taking off from 1933 lands in İstanbul in 2023, far from its intended destination. The captain, first baffled and then realize that he traveled in time. Through the commercial, the captain, feeling proud by the success achieved in the aviation industry in 90 years, notice that the dreams set years ago have been way surpassed.

"A LIFE-SIZE REPLICA"

A life-size replica of the Curtiss Kingbird D2 model aircraft, one of the first official aircraft of Turkish Airlines, was built specially for this project. The replica, with a weight of approximately 1.7 tons, a wingspan of 17 meters, a length of 11 meters and a height of 4 meters, was completed in 2 months.
