Starting from a dataset reporting the usage for over 80.000 book titles in the Huddesrfield University library, broken down by academic school, by academic courses, and by year, we have decided to investigate how loaned books link students. We have considered the academic departments, their courses and the typology of each course, because every book is linked with a specific school and course. To investigate the interdisciplinarity of the university, each book loan it has been seen as a link between courses, creating a network in which courses of different schools are connected. Because of this, it’s possible to see how much every school is related to another one. Considering this results, we have developed some sparks to further improve the university. The website has a parallax scrolling structure that allows to discover informations step by step.
