dre: defensive robotic exoskeleton
dre is a full scale prototype inspired by metal crushing battle bots and space.
meet dre, the defensive robotic exoskeleton. it's sole purpose is to obliterate it's opponent in the battle bot arena. dre is fully equipped with a hydrolic claw arm and rotating touret gun. He is entirely moveable, accomadating a real person inside who navigates using an internal real time display.
This full scale prototype consists entirely of foamcore and tape, embellished with LED underlighting and electroluminescent details. In two short weeks, a team of five people including myself designed and executed the dre, winning first place in a models and prototypes competition and exhibition.
