City Rebranding of Shah Alam as Eco-Green City

Shah Alam is a peaceful city to live compare to other city that usually hectic because there are many developments, pack with entertainment, leisure, industrial sectors and many more. As Shah Alam is a well-planned city since the declaration of Malaysia Independence day, even with developments of industrial, it is still remain as a city that is calming and serene. It is a suitable city for people who prefer to live in a city but refuse to cope with everyday hectic and busy life of the city itself. It is a beautiful city in its own way and character. Shah Alam has the opportunity to build the image of green environment and eco-friendly city because of its beautiful well cared garden, trees, plants and lake that surround the city. Thus, a new tagline that is ‘Eco-Green City‘is proposed as the new image of Shah Alam.

The concept of Eco Green City is set as the new brand image for Shah alam. It is essential to raise

people awareness on the importance of environment in order to ensure the earth will be a better place to live in the future as well as Shah Alam as a city that contribute to help reducing the negative impact that affected by the earth. It is also to educate citizen of Shah Alam that it is essential to protect the beauty and serenity of the city so that the serenity, calming and beautiful factors will last long.

Illustration is the application of technique to visualize the image of Eco-Green City. Ideas for the design direction is inspired by the elements that surrounding our mother earth. Elements such as air, water, forest, earth and energy become the main inspiration for the new image of Shah Alam as an

‘ECO-Green City’. The new design image of Shah Alam will be brought to life with a bright, colourful brand identity.
