Brief
العلاقة بين العمارة والهوية المحلية علاقة ذات بعد تاريخي عميق، فالعمارة على مر التاريخ كانت إنعكاس صادقاً لهويتها
وتعكس خصائص تلك الشعوب ومزياة البيئية والاجتماعية والحضارية، اما في عصرنا الحاضر تعاني معظم المجتمعات
العمرانية الجديدة في مصر من فقدان الهوية المعمارية، حيث لوحظ تأثر الناتج المعماري لتلك المجتمعات العمرانية
بالثقافة والهوية الغربية، مما أدي إلى بعض من اختلال ملامح ومظاهر القيم العمرانية للعمارة المحلية بهذه المدن الجديدة.
وتحتل قضية الهوية في العمارة جز ًء لا يستهان به من اهتمام المعماري، فهوية المبنى من خلال فراغاته وكتله
يمثل الصورة التي تصل إلى المشاهد والمدخل لانطباعاته التي يكونها عن المبنى، فالمتجول في جوانب المدن وشوارعھا
يلفت انتباھه مبانيھا وقد يوحى له المظھر الخارجي بھوية المباني، والمتلقي للعمل المعماري ھو في الواقع متلقي لطابع
الخارجي لھذا العمل المعماري وللهويه التى عليها المبنى، لذلك فإن قرار المعماري في اختيار هويه معينه لمبناه يعد من
