JEWELLERY SHOP RENOVATION

This was my first commercial project, I used jaali in my design as the main element. Jaali, a traditional architectural and decorative element with a rich history, has been used for centuries in Middle Eastern and Central Asian cultures. In my furniture piece, I’ve incorporated a modern interpretation using CNC cutting and mixed it with different elements to add a luxurious look to my project.
PROCESS

The space I was working with had a total area of 145 sq/ft, but there was a lot of dead space that was not being utilized effectively.
To make the space more efficient and cost-effective, I decided to reuse the old furniture and give it a new life. I carefully planned the layout to make sure every inch of the space was being used effectively. I replaced the old orange-colored tiles with cream vitrified tiles and used a light cream glossy laminate for all the furniture. To add some texture and elegance to the design, I incorporated some golden CNC Jaali. Finally, I finished it off with a simple cream wallpaper to make the space look brighter and welcoming.
FURNITURE DETAILS

DISPLAY UNIT- The design of this display unit features a luxurious touch with the use of golden-tinted glass in the back of the CNC jaali. The intricate details of the jaali are enhanced by the golden hue, creating a warm and visually appealing effect.
PARTITION- I included two fixed glass windows in the partition design to allow the homeowner to see who enters the house while maintaining their privacy. The placement and size of the windows were carefully considered to preserve the partition’s aesthetic appeal.
Using vertical profile lights, I created depth and emphasized details in the wallpaper. Additionally, creatively applying perspective in the ceiling elevated the design and added a distinct feature to the space. Mirror on the back wall of the shop gives an illusion of depth as the space available was very limited.
