This is a very loose interpretation of my Tableau Vivant assignment for uni. The aim of the assignment was to make something that encompasses an era while relating it back to the present day.
My era was of Norsemen and Vikings, and I chose to display it through a mythologically accurate (as possible) depiction of Yggdrasil, Norse Mythology's Tree of Life.
Having remained prevalent throughout history since its appearance in Ancient Egypt, the Tree of Life is a very important symbol for humanity. Symbolizing the interconnectedness of life, growth, death, and rebirth I thought it was the perfect symbol to showcase my era while still having it be relevant to the people of today.
