The Last of Us Episode 8 was as grueling as the original game. From Ellie's heart wrenching realization and fighting, to Joel grabbing her and immediately providing her safety, it is an episode full of emotional twists. It is a very intense and vulnerable part of the story that solidifies the bloody bond Joel and Ellie are destined to have.
Both the video game series and the television show, is a huge inspiration into what kind of worlds, stories, characters, and connections I strive to create. The depth in which players/viewers create to love, hate, and relate to media/fan bases is fascinating. It is something I have studied in formal settings and in my spare time, and is a driving force in many of my own characters and stories.
