Unofficial Qatar Stamps - Typography II

A university project for Typography II course where I was assigned to design type-based postage stamps that represent a country. Each student was randomly assigned an Arab country and had the chance to think of a theme from their own for research.
Research

I decided to research the architecture in Qatar, which I personally find quite distinctive and iconic, incorporating geometric shapes, traditional designs, and the country's landscape. I decided to start by sketching different perspectives and styles for the four buildings: Museum of Islamic Art, Zigzag Towers, Al Fanar Mosque, and Qatar Pavilion in Expo 2020. Those four landmarks had something in common, which is the simplicity of combining basic geometric shapes however, the complexity in the overall design look at the end was aesthetically pleasing, and that's why I chose those four specifically.
I designed the booklet that showcased each stamp with the historic building description in Arabic and English. The booklet is 2 coloumn grid by 3 rows.
