Retro Game Machine Interactive Installation

Retro Game Interactive Booth
This installation was created for an exhibition dedicated to digital security. The client suggested a quiz where visitors could "hack" the company's security system by answering questions. I proposed to stylize the quiz as a classic retro game machine to make the experience more enjoyable and familiar, especially for those who were young when such games were popular.

The devil is in the details
Inspired by PC visual modding, transparent suitcases, and giant care labels presented as prints on clothing, I thought, 'Why not amplify what is usually hidden from exhibition visitors and people interacting with interactive installations?'

Cables, connectors, the computer itself, and other parts of engineering systems can become the basis and main object of design concept.

So, the player is trying to hack the security system of the company using a retro gaming machine. Obviously, in order to do this, the machine needs to be customized for hacking purposes. Custom parts, lighting, and cables have been added to the machine for this purpose.

Hardware Setup
The setup itself consists of a computer, a lightbox with controllable lighting, a tablet, a transparent LED panel, and a built-in joystick.

Design Assets
Due to very tight deadlines, a large portion of the graphics was either created using a neural network or purchased from stock, and then reworked and animated.
