Breadth / Drawing

In my last year of high school, I prepared a drawing portfolio to enter the AP Studio Art examination. These experimental drawings done by various techniques formed the "Breadth" part of my portfolio.
The middle section of a tryptic about the city Istanbul (2010)
Collage inspired by the Turkist artist Ergin Inan's work (2010)
Train seat collage done on a train trip in Barcelona from the city center to Portlligat Museum House of Salvador Dalí, inspired by some of Barcelona's symbols (2010)
Pencil study of still life objects done by observation (2009)
Study of the figure by observation (2009)
Self Portrait in Acrylic inspired by the artist Chuck Close's work (2008)
Pencil study of the hand done by observation (2009)
The Mechanical Head (2010)
Modernized version of Marlene Dumas' "The Deceased" painting (2002) which was on temporary show at the museum of the Art Institude of Chicago in Summer 2010. I painted the portrait in a similar technique to Marlene Dumas but changed the face to look like Michael Jackson, who died on June 25, 2009.
Abstract painting inspired by a visit to the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago (2010)
Ladies in the Drop of Water (2010)
