The final semester of NIFT,Fashion Design programme is dedicated to making one's own design collection which consists of 5-7 ensembles.The collection has to be conceptualized and constructed by the student.
This is a part of my graduation collection which is called
'The Curious Case Of the Mc Aloo Tikki Burger.'

And by soon I mean in the 5-7 year time frame.
Dabbawala:This box is a part of the moodboard for the collection.

1.They will name a city after us:
A full length anarkali inspired jacket paired with a leotard.
The back view of the anarkali jacket.
The exaggerated sleeve element adds some necessary drama to the ensemble.
The hemline has an applique digital print of a cityscape print that I made.
2.Saree ke fall sa:
A sheer saree paired with a mini skirt worn with a Kucch embroidery jacket.
The jacket is made from a 23 year old Kutch wall hanging.
Mishmash.This that.
3.#Sanskar croptop.
4.Humare desh ke logon:
Embroidered faces jacket.26 unique individual faces were hand embroidered to create this jacket.
5.Modern Traditions:
A crop top inspired by the ever changing idea of India-A place where multinationals office buildings and 600 year old monuments coexist,almost in a state of paradox.
6.Kathputli Naach:
A shift dress paired with a sheer-sequined panelled shirt.
Actual puppets picked up from Surajkund mela have been used for the ornamentation of the shift dress.
A part of this collection was showcased at the Wills Debut 2014 competetition whose finale was held at Fashion Week,Delhi.
This collection recieved the award for the 'Most innovative use of Traditional Indian Surfacing' during the final college exhibition which was held in IGNCA,Delhi.
