‘Love is blind’ is a very typical proverbial phrase used for lovers. Well, this workshop gives a different interpretation and perspective to the phrase. It invited participants to blindly fall in love with Type, Type design and Typography.
This workshop is all about self thinking, interaction, communication and cracking a concept/idea. It throws a light on Type-design in Roman script. The unique point about this workshop is that it portrays Typography as a fun subject where it is more than just using pencil and ink. It encourages an experimental and non conventional style of approach towards type design.
The main objective of the workshop is to design a concept/idea based type in Roman script. Along with a study of following points:
- Look of the font
- Feel of the font
- Association of the font with the concept/idea
- Forming a visual/layout using the font.
Workshop was attended by 16 students from the various institutes of Mumbai
To sum it up in single statement-‘Love is Blind’ is a Type design workshop where Love acts as a creative force, design as a communication practice and cutting as execution.
