The client requested a primary concept design proposal for a complete renovation for the T4 Royal Transit Lounge with the requirements of maintaining the original number of seating, creating a small cafeteria buffet area, a high-bar working station area, rearrangement of the layout & addition of needed furniture, accessories, finishing materials and artistic touches to the lounge.
One of the main influences behind the overall design was the request to maintain the similar style of "Al-Mubarkiya Lounge" which is located next to the T4 Royal lounge that consisted of "Walnut wood color & Black Marquina marble"
The main directional approach was to present the key elements in a visualized Rendered illustration cutouts along with sketched illustrations for a clearer overview of the main idea and concept.
Concept
Upon observing Kuwait's topography map, topography lines were a huge inspiration factor into interpreting those lines into a simpler more beautiful pattern, that'll turn the lounge's ceiling into a visually pleasing masterpiece. It's a way of representing Kuwait's land so that the departures will feel the essence of being surrounded and enclosed by the land till the very last minute before departing.
