In the workplace, pressure from colleagues 

The French Supreme Court determined that an employer cannot terminate an employee for refusing to attend after-work social events.

In November, the Court of Cassation considered that the reason given for the dismissal of an employee could not be his refusal to go to parties organized by the company. 
For many employees, however, the pressure of participating in afterworks is very real: strategy to gather information on current topics, need for integration, to be seen well by the hierarchy... 
These "moments of conviviality" innocent people are more complex than it seems.
When, at the employer, their organization can be seen as an opportunity to create an entrepreneurial spirit, even a means of pushing employees to spend more time at work, it adds pressure on the shoulders of the team. 
And this, not to mention the (almost) imposed figure of alcohol consumption, not always appreciated by employees...
