Voltfuse Apparel Design
In the fall of 2021 I was given the pleasure of helping design A whole new lineup of headwear! VOLTFUSE is a specialty headwear and apparel brand, originating from the secluded island of Newfoundland. Since 2010, they’ve been spearheaded by the simple idea of being a truly rider-owned and driven initiative, with an emphasis on authenticity, durability, and technicality within each of their products.
The Rut beanie might be my favourite design out of the bunch. I was given a pattern which included two moose in the heat of passion, and given the task of making it into a viable design. "A little crude for a beanie" was my initial thought. They wanted the design to be in the style of a nordic pattern. I decided to make it a little modern and chose to hide the cheeky, fun part of the design under the cuff of the beanie.
The Gilly Cap design is the one that got me the project in the beginning. They wanted a fun design involving a Cod Fish. A staple in Newfoundland culture and cuisine. Solution: give a cod fish a beanie.
The Alan Cap is classified as a "Dad Cap". Whats more synonymous with dads than socks and sandals! Velcro sandals especially.
