Project: product design, brand identity and marketing collateral for a new product for small spaces
Solution: Enter Urbin, a compact compost caddy for city-sized kitchens
For the brand's first product, I chose to address urban composting. The NYC Dept of Sanitation is running a pilot program for residential curbside compost pick-up, which they are gradually expanding to residential buildings city-wide. Thousands of city residents will need a mess-free, vermin-proof, compact container to collect organic food waste in their tiny kitchens. A competitive analysis reveals that none of the options currently on the market are designed with the city dweller in mind.
