Fort Hope is the personal project I'm the proudest of. It's a mixed-media story I self published after a successful Kickstarter campaign. Through this experience I learned so much so quickly. The story telling takes advantage of both my illustration and design skills. It goes back and forth between a comic, letters between neighbors, an illustrated poem, and more. My goal was to create as much as I could from scratch. By doing so I quickly had to learn how to use a tablet with photoshop, screen-printing for t-shirts and book covers and block printing for inside the book. The business skills I learned are equally important. This is one of the first times I had to work on a deadline I gave myself. I had to manage a tight budget, update customers on progress, and promote myself and my fundraiser. Bellow you can see some samples from the book.
