Local Cultural Ceremony: Experimental Publication Design Project
This project is a collaboration between two designers, myself and Mandy. We wanted to showcase the traditional activities of Chinese New Year Eve through the eyes of Mandy's aunt, Aunt Ngu. Using the vibrant color of red, commonly associated with the holiday, we aimed to convey the ideas of wealth and luck that are also tied to this time of year. We designed both interactive and printed versions of this project to showcase the rich cultural traditions of Chinese New Year through the lens of Aunt Ngu's experiences.
Through our experimental publication design, we hope to share this rich cultural experience with others.
