My work on The Curiosity Sessions began with the creation of a set of questions and conversation launching points in order to record interviews that would yield as much salient and expressive spoken material as possible.
Editor
After collecting nearly 10 hours of audio interviews my net task was to listen to each interview and separate content into categories that would eventually connect with and help to select musical pieces to accompany spoken themes. The next step was to carefully edit and pare down the spoken elements to 10% of total collected running length and make editorial decisions with regard to combining six different interviewees into a nine cohesive narratives to accompany nine music tracks.
Audio Engineer
After selecting nine music tracks that were best suited as accompaniment for the spoken themes I needed to adjust effects, volume fades, etc. on music and spoken track in order to achieve nine pieces of music that expressed their respective mood titles.
Producer
From the initial conception of this project I worked co-producer, Peter Woods, to develop overall concept, timelines, production schedules, marketing and dissemination plan.
