what’s the next step of mt.chanchu?
This is a poster for a photo exhibition of Mt. Chan-Chu dwelling in Taiwan.
Mt. Chan-Chu dwelling is the sole surviving Juan Cun (military dependents' village)
on the hilltop of Taipei city which boasts the unique lifestyle that cannot be found in any other corner of the city.
In the rising tide of urban renewal, the dwelling also faces the possible fate of demolition.
To save the dwelling from the fate of being a teardown,
a group of college students starts a campaign of reformation of the dwelling.
Through maximizing space utility and some exterior redesign,
they successfully inject new life into the dwelling and thus urge the government to keep it for cultural reasons.
これは写真展のポスターです。テーマは蝦蟇の山の都市再生です。
蝦蟇の山という山は、およそ100年前、戦争にかりだされた軍人の集団住宅団地です。
今は、ほぼ廃墟になりかけ、老人がポツリと暮らす状況を写真展で紹介します。
