Moka Pot Design

As coffee enthusiasts, we have chosen moka pot coffee making as our preferred brewing style. There is poetry and fluidity in the simple process of making coffee with a moka pot, with the coffee squirting out of those holes and the aroma holding your attention at that moment.
Pompeii inspired the name of our design. During a summer visit to the Pompeii museum, we took the above photo. We were discussing the architectural taste of the people who used to live there when the idea for our design hit us.
We first designed the moka pot with a torus handle, but due to ergonomic concerns, we created a second design.

Pompeii was an ancient city located in what is now the comune of Pompei, near Naples in the Campania region of Italy. Pompeii, along with Herculaneum and many villas in the surrounding area, was buried under 4 to 6 meters of volcanic ash and pumice during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
