Stairway to Heaven

The song "Stairway to Heaven", by British band Led Zeppelin, is widely considered to be one of the greatest rock songs of all time. It starts out with a slow tempo and gradually builds to a frantic finale. It was always amusing when the DJ would play this at my high school dances. Couples who weren't familiar with the song would start out slow dancing and then not know what to do as things got faster and faster.

I wanted to see how Stable Diffusion would interpret the lyrics of the song. I submitted each of the seven verses one at a time. I submitted as many times as necessary to find an image that I felt matched the meaning the lyrics. I also rejected any outputs that had objectionable content or had gross anatomical distortions (e.g., extra fingers, two right hands, etc.).

Stairway to Heaven, verse 1

Stairway to Heaven, verse 2

Stairway to Heaven, verse 3

Stairway to Heaven, verse 4

Stairway to Heaven, verse 5

Stairway to Heaven, verse 6

Stairway to Heaven, verse 7

And, just for fun, here are some of the images that I rejected but that I thought were still worth keeping:
