Garner State Park is one of the most popular state parks in the Texas State Park system. The Rio Frio runs throughout the park with some shallow areas that pour over rock outcroppings and a deeper area near the damn where you will often find kids and adults of all ages floating in tubes, kayaking or swimming in the warm Texas spring and summer. In addition to the access to this gorgeous river are hiking trails for all hikers, some easy, flat paved trails as well as trails that are steep and require a little more effort to climb. The park is full of beautiful scenery and is one you can go back to again and again.
