PayDevice Duo is a solution that offers a new offline payment experience. Simply rotate the body to switch between POS and Kiosk modes, allowing you to change the shelf environment to suit every situation. It improves the current complex payment experience and store interior to be intuitive and simple.
Through the research visiting and interviewing stores, I discovered that many store owners place a high value on interacting with their customers. Nevertheless, the demand for kiosks is increasing due to factors such as busy store environments, labor costs, and customer preferences for contactless payments in light of the recent pandemic.
Today's payment solutions take up a lot of space, and it's often cluttered with accessories like card and NFC readers, receipt printers, sign pads, as well as the cables for them, making a narrow shelf even more complicated and messy.
With a 20-inch vertical display, Duo has a larger screen and smaller footprint than current POS. Rotating Duo allows you to switch between POS and Kiosk modes quickly, so you can get the benefits of both modes, depending on the store's situation. It also has a multi-port hub that allows accessories and cables to be separated under the shelf, helping to keep the clean shelf.
A large number of store owners and staffs prefer to serve customers and take payments in person. That's why Duo can be used in POS mode by default, as it offers the advantage of face-to-face communication and customer service.
However, for stores that are unable to handle a large volume of customers or during busy periods, you can simply rotate Duo to fulfill the role of a Kiosk quickly and easily.
In POS mode, you can access various menus, including sales and table status, through an intuitive interface.
In Kiosk mode, you'll have an easier-to-use interface for taking orders and making payments simply and quickly.
Duo's payment unit is compact and designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, so you won't have to clutter your store's décor with multiple accessories. It supports various payment methods such as IC cards, Apple / Samsung / Google Pay, and contactless cards, making it a versatile option for any business.
In addition, the payment unit is wireless, so it adds a new level of convenience to your payment experience. You can position the unit freely along your shelves and make payments while on the move. And the POGO connection ensures quick and easy charging whenever you need it.
Duo's facial recognition feature offers the most intuitive and fastest payment solution available. Once you register your face in the app, you can complete your order at checkout simply by selecting a menu and looking at the screen for a second. It can also recognize QR payments for added convenience.
Furthermore, the facial recognition camera can swivel to the back, allowing employees to use it as an alternative to a password when logging into the POS or checking sales data.
Duo's space-saving vertical design may cause it to wobble to the touch, but there is a stand kit to stabilize it. Attaching the stand to the bottom of Duo gives it a solid base of width and weight, ensuring stability.
If you want to attach Duo and prevent it from moving at all, simply open the screw holes in the stand kit and secure it to the shelf.
