ECOLOGICAL VILLAGE ŞILE

ECOLOGICAL VILLAGE ŞILE
How can architecture reflect our spiritual and ecological aspirations? In my latest project, the Ecological Village Şile, I explore the connection between culture and sustainability, drawing inspiration from the Whirling Dervishes and their philosophy of grace and service.
the Ecological Village Şile, which represents a convergence of culture, spirituality, and sustainability. As architects, we have a unique opportunity to shape the built environment in ways that reflect our deepest values and beliefs, and in this project, I sought to do just that.
The Whirling Dervishes are a Sufi order that originated in Turkey and are known for their distinctive dance, which symbolizes the movement of the universe around the divine axis. This concept of cosmic harmony and service to humanity resonated with me, and I decided to use it as a guiding principle for my design.
By embracing the power of wind and sun, we can create a settlement that not only provides a comfortable and healthy living environment but also contributes to the preservation of the natural world.
The Ecological Village Şile is organized around the idea of inward focus, which means that the houses, facilities, and landscape are arranged in a way that promotes a sense of community and interconnectedness. The wind curtains that adorn the buildings serve both functional and symbolic purposes, representing the invisible force that moves us and reminding us of our connection to the environment.
I hope that my project inspires you to think creatively about the role of architecture in promoting sustainability and cultural heritage
Let's continue to explore the ways in which we can use our skills and imagination to create a better world for ourselves and future generations.
