Doğadan is one of the biggest tea brands in Turkey owned by Coca Cola Group. Studio Ka was one of the BTL agencies that worked for Doğadan especially for packaging projects. I was assigned to work on their premium green tea and herbal tea lines.
The first challenge was that the market of green tea and herbal tea is still a very niche market because for Turkish people tea means only traditional black tea. Another challenge was some of the products were for only women, like period tea and nursing mothers tea, which could be sensitive in naming, wording and visualization since these are topics that are still kind of taboo in Turkey. The third challenge was that the client did not want to make a photo shooting due to limited budget so we had to use in-house illustration and stock photography. The design processes of 2 lines and 3 individual packagings took almost one full year from brief to production. The design alternatives went through a customer survey and the final designs were chosen upon the results.
