BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) is a multi-arts center located in Brooklyn, New York.  The New Wave 2022, one of the programs of BAM, returned after three years inviting the world’s most fascinating performance artists. There were 12 shows this year beginning from  September to December.

From every live show I have watched so far, I have wanted to hold on to some memorabilia of thhe show if I had a great time. The tickets usually served the purpose but I wanted them to be more representational and convenient. They must work to provide all the basic information about the show and represent the show enough to remind the viewer about how good the show was.
Each of the 12 shows had its unique visual and typographic prompts that informed the design. Example: The typeface Martin perfectly fit the description of Everything Rises because of the similarity in their origin story.
The back of the poster holds a textural pattern with the corresponding dates.
Tried 5 different colour combinations that represent different genres such as almost-monochomatic, light, classic, eccentric and dramatic.
The structure of the tear off poster (11x17in) creates the ultimate calendar of the Next Wave 2022, tearing into 12 different tickets (6x3 in approx.) for each show. The poster was designed to be given to people who buy tickets to the shows. Before each show, the corresponding ticket can be torn off and carried to the show and if it was good, then the ticket can be retain as memorabilia.
The shows are arranged in Chronological order so they can be torn without any hassle.
Each ticket is designed according to the show’s typographic prompts, while establishing a common system that brought the poster together.

The biggest challenge was to make 13 different typefaces work together in a small space. Each ticket is designed according to the show’s typographic prompts, while establishing a common system that brought the poster together.
