During the 18th century industrial revolution, mass production through machines led to an overall decrease in product quality and raised concerns about uniformity. Today, thanks to tremendous advancements in manufacturing technology, we have entered an era of high-quality mass production. However, the commercial logic of mass production and marketability has led to an abundance of overly ornamental or trendy products.
collect cac is a brand that creates timeless products that will remain relevant, products crafted by experienced makers with an artisanal spirit, and products that prioritize aesthetics over production costs, such as handcrafted items. Even as time passes, collect cac's products will continue to hold their value and remain classic.
18세기 산업혁명은 기계에 의한 대량 생산으로 제품의 품질이 전반적으로 떨어지고, 획일화에 대한 문제의식을 갖었습니다. 지금은 엄청난 제조 기술의 발전으로 고품질의 제품을 대량 생산하는 시대가 도래했지만, 대량 생산과 시장성에 의한 상업적 논리로 지나치게 장식적이거나 트렌디한 제품들이 난무해졌습니다. Collect cac는 시간이 지나도 시대에 뒤떨어지지 않는 타임리스한 제품, 경험이 풍부한 메이커와 함께 장인정신이 깃든 제품, 원가보다는 미의식이 앞서는 수공예 같은 제품을 만드는 브랜드입니다.

Following the first project, the titanium glasses were made in collaboration with YOO. - It is a company with over 20 years of experience in eyewear development and manufacturing with R&D and factory in Seoul/Daegu.
A perceiving object looks forward. It frames the world now and feels right on the face in the future. To convey a classic shape, we imagined a continuous line that blends discreetly. We chose a 4mm thick titanium material to maintain a solid yet elegant frame while keeping it lightweight. The functions such as hinges are deeply embedded, allowing for uninterrupted focus on the face.
To achieve a perfect minimalist design, we concealed the hinges as much as possible and put effort into precise alignment between the parts.

Another characteristic of our brand is that we do not set an official release date. We take enough time to ensure design completeness, and produce when we feel it is sufficient. Therefore, we pursue timeless design that does not change in value whenever we release the product."
