The building is an abstract structure that rests on the landscape like a rock.
lt behaves like rocks subjected to the same natural
forces and inclemencies.
The structure is the building. there is no artífice. no cladding. lt ages like a ruin that assumes the erosion.
lt is an abstrae! volume that does not compete with the existing mine characteristic of the lrish culture architecture.
he whole synthesises the rocky landscape of lreland, the history of the ruin, the water and the well-being of the person, together with the metaphorical and philosophical of the slope and the ascent of the person towards the top, towards the totality of the panorama.
The proposal is multidimensional, it admits different times, light sit
uations and experiences, gener
ating moments to look inwards and others to look towards the landscape.
The intervention seeks to be basic and irreducible.
An architecture of hints, framing the natural and anthropic landscape. A simple and lasting trace.
The program is atomised like pre-existing rocks.
They suggest an explicit exterior and interior path, always looking at the ruin.
The conjunt rests on the slope and generales different levels and corners, in sorne situations letting the rock emerge and in others "floating" over them.
These bars open up into two bodies of hot water that leads the visitors for the acommodations and the place of meditation, always putting in value and making emphasis on the ruin.
