Katakamukha
'कटकामुख '
In Bharatanatyam, there's a mudra called Kataka Mukha that's performed in three ways. One of these ways is to bring together the index, middle fingers, and thumb to represent the opening of a bracelet. This mudra is used to show:
- Plucking flowers
- Holding or wearing a necklace
- Pulling the bow-string
- Offering betel leaves
- Grinding materials such as musk
- Anointing fragrant material
- Speaking and gazing
